Waist beads are an ancient African accessory worn by women. The adornment of waist beads has been passed down traditionally over time through our ancestors of women. They can represent femininity, sensuality, and many other reasons. Women use waist beads for many many different reasons.

These waist beads are considered permanent waist beads as they are tied onto 5 strands of string. Once you tie them on, they are required to be cut off. They measure up to 51" long.
How to wear:
- Measure the waist beads around your waist.
- Move the excess beads over to make room to tie the strands. Then, tie the strands together tightly creating a knot 3-4 times.
- Cut off the extra string and beads.
- Possibly, use the excess beads for a matching anklet!
